Property was just as described. It had the 'down home' feel - but better, without all the work - as we live on a hobby farm ourselves. The accommodations were perfect for us to bring along our pet goat. We enjoyed the ducks and chickens and the well-stocked pond. We were so at ease that we didn't even bother leaving the property for the couple days. The kitchen was adequately stocked for us to prepare all of our meals. We also took advantage of the grill and outdoor patio. Beyond the property its self, the location was perfect for us to explore the area and visit/hike several waterfalls within a short driving distance.

The owners were very nice and available for any needs we had. Just a text or phone call away. Waking up every morning to a beautiful sunrise and coffee pot at ready, was awesome. We felt calm and relaxed here at the Dabbling Duck. A must stay for your vacation getaway!

If you are looking for a quiet, serene, and private stay, it doesn't get much better than this. Our host has thought of everything you may need for your stay. The home is very spacious and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was beautiful and had everything you need to cook at home along with newer appliances.
The property also has a beautiful pond for fishing and kayaking and a variety of ducks and chickens that roam.
You can sit on the front porch in the rocking chairs that overlook the pond or sit on the back deck under the gazebo that has a propane fire pit and nice furniture.
It is also fairly close to several of Tennessee's magnificent waterfalls.
We loved our stay and can't wait to come back!

My friends and I found the property to be very comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook any type of meal. The property is a great home-base and close to hiking and lots of fun things to do.

What a charming and sweet place to stay at! The ducks are entertaining, and we even got to watch a deer eat grass in the back yard. So many birds to see and hear.
There is always a place you can be outside and still avoid the direct sun or rain..
The hot tub is a great place to relax after a day hiking at the local state parks.
Our dog had a great time too in her own fenced yard. My favorite thing to do is sit on the deck and stare at the pond and listen to the frogs talking to each other. Jamie is a responsive host who seems to enjoy interacting with her guests.

This place is awesome! Jaime was great. Spacious with nice big kitchen. Tv in every room. My girls learned to kayak on the pond and fishing was lots of fun. Chickens, ducks, super friendly cats. Oh yeah and a hot tub. We loved it!

Great place to stay if you want to relax by a fire-pit, grill gas or charcoal, comfortable home. The pond is full of fish. My son and nephew caught all kinds of fish with fly rod and regular poles. You feel so secluded and private but not far from Cookeville. We enjoyed hiking at Burgess Falls and Cummins Falls. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

We had such an awesome time here! We came for our honeymoon and it was perfect. We enjoyed hanging out with the cats and ducks while we fished and kayaked. Jaime was an awesome host, she was always helpful with ideas on things to do around the area. Definitely recommend this stay!

Pictures do not do this place justice. You’re greeted by animals every time you turn around - this is a good thing. The barn cats are so friendly and the ducks were a gorgeous addition to our stay. The owner is very kind and is quick to reply to any questions you may have. She allowed my four month old to swim with her duckling and allowed me to feed her ducks. This house is truly a dream, so peaceful and relaxing. Me and my family will definitely be back!

Wonderful time at Dabbling Duck!!!! The owners were fabulous to work with from start to finish. House is very nice with all the little extras!!! Beds are comfortable!! So nice to go to sleep with the frog noises from the pond.

If you are looking for a fun fishing experience you won't be disappointed. It is one of those ponds(almost 3/4 of an acre) where every time you drop a hook in you catch a fish!!!!

We loved the chickens and ducks!!! Can't wait to go back!!!!!
